March 27, 2020… A VERY HAPPY WORLD THEATRE DAY, world!

2020. 

Getting ready for a full season ahead, starting with… WORLD THEATRE DAY 2020 LIVE ONLINE AT OUR IG HANDLE @masquerade.madras 

Of course, these are such difficult times of #covid19 #coronavirus contagion and the entire nation is under a #21daycurfew lock down. Globally we’re on a lock down and #socialdistancing 

WE need to be careful and exercise such caution. That does not mean Art cannot happen. Humans always find a way when the chips are down. Art more so. So we go virtual. 

WE were in the middle of a Chekhov Doublebill for March 27, our 22nd World Theatre Day celebrations to kick start our 24th season and 26th year. But Corona cut it short. Rather, pushed it. To May. Hopefully, May it is. 

And excited, am I, to announce our new Community project – the T3P3 Theatre Literacy Collective with a new and vibrant community partner in SPI EDGE. 

More updates about the year as we go… Plenty more lined up for 2020-21, this may be the beginning of a new direction!
